I don't post here alot, but I come on here and read every once in awhile. Anyway...just had to say something here.

I told my bestfriend that her boyfriend was cheating on her. We had an understanding that we would tell each other certain things, important things, if one of us knew something. Cheating was one of them. Let's just say that the outcome was not good at all. I haven't spoken to her for at least 2 months. I was the one that told her I could not and would not listen to her piss, complain and moan anymore about her "boyfriend" after what I told her. Soooooo, you can go ahead and "tell it like it is", but be prepared for her to choose him over you. JUST MY PERSONEL EXPERIENCE WITH CRAP LIKE THIS.

She's pretty much told everybody she's gonna do what she's gonna do. I respect that because I think that no matter what anybody "tells" us, we still have to experience it for ourselves . . .

So . . . I'm not gonna say a thing and will let her come to me with all of the info when she feels safe enough to do so. And, if she never does, I'll still be a soft spot for her to land when/if this whole thing caves in on her.

I think your point is what many women, in the hopes of being good friends that we all hope for, experience. Sadly, most people don't really want to hear the truth even when they say they do...

I'm sorry you experienced the worst case scenario... but all too often that is precisely what happens.

Yes, she's right. Awful situations, but you really can't ever tell anyone anything about a person they've "fallen" for, even if it is so clear on the outside.

It's worse when you have family like that... my family didn't really like my ex-wife that much, but wouldn't say a thing until a few months after the divorce. They politely kept their mouth shut for 7 years--which is the right thing to do. I do the same when my brother dates air-headed, nasty, selfish, mean, bitchy, materialistic, self-centred, opinionated girls who managed to drag dark stormclouds into any room they enter and make everyone around them feel like absolute sh*t.

lol... not really-- I know that there isn't anybody around. I guess I just felt like posting on a forum, and I don't have one that I actually want to post on anymore, so I came here.

Of course, answering a thread that is over a year old was just kind of a joke. Those people could be dead by now and I wouldn't even know it, would I!?
